HELIUM LEAK TEST RIG FOR BATTERY TRAY

Automatic leak test system in Helium with 2 loading stations “shuttle” layout.

Leak test is performed in vacuum chamber with Helium tracing gas, to detect the leaks from the tray cooling circuits.

Tracing gas testing allows fast cycle times and high accuracy even with big sized parts like the battery trays. Furthermore, the test doesn’t require temperature stabilization systems nor is affected by the “breathing” effect.

– Configuration: automatic shuttle system with one testing chamber and two loading stations

– Test method: by Helium in vacuum chamber

– Helium mixture: about 5% air-He mixture

– Threshold: about 0,5 Ncc/min (10-1 mbar l/sec)

– Load unload: by robot

– Cycle time: about 50 sec
