GIM: FATIGUE, NVH AND FUNCTIONALITY BENCHES FOR TESTING ON AUTOMOTIVE MECHANICAL COMPONENTS

GiM was established in 1994 in Aachen as a spin-off of RWTH Aachen University. From the outset the company immediately began to specialise in high-quality fatigue test benches with a high technological content, customised and tailored to the specific needs of its customers.

GiM is particularly expert in the design of fatigue test benches dedicated to NVH tests and efficiency and functionality testing on automotive components, such as drive shafts, transmission shafts and synchronisers.

The history of GiM

1994

TS GiM GmbH was founded in Herzongenrath (Aachen) by the engineer prof. Christoph Troeder, as a spin-off of RWTH Aachen University.

1995

The company moved its business to the Eschweiler (Aachen) plant.

2001

The production site expanded with the addition of two buildings dedicated to assembly.

2006

GiM’s range of services grew, including calibration, assistance and maintenance services.

2007

The company began to specialise in NVH testing technology.

2012

GiM launched its business in the Asian market with its own fatigue test benches, acquiring customers in China, India and South Korea.

2015

The company joined together with TS TestingService GmbH in TS Group GmbH.

2022

TS TestingService GmbH and the sister company TS GiM GmbH were acquired by the Test Industry group, maintaining their own brands and product lines.

The GiM team is characterised by a group of highly experienced engineers, able to respond to the needs of their customers with technically advanced fatigue test benches made with high quality components.

The company deals with every aspect of the electrical and mechanical design of the machines, in addition to software development and automation management.

GiM specialised technicians carry out all assembly, electrical and mechanical testing activities and are always available for after-sales services including: training, assistance, maintenance and calibration.
