Leonardo was set up in 1994 by three friends who shared extensive experience in industrial automation. Originally, the company was involved in engineering dedicated to the development of automation systems with a high technological content.
With perseverance and dedication, Leonardo has successfully won the trust of numerous customers in Italy and around the world, constantly investing in research and development with the certainty of being able to count on the technical skills of its team.
The Leonardo brand offers standard and custom solutions of machinery for product testing with applications in various industrial sectors. In particular, the production includes four main types of benches: leak testers, dimensional control benches, wheels and tires testing machines
The history of Leonardo
1994
Leonardo S.r.l. was founded in Maclodio, in the province of Brescia, as an engineering company focused on the development of high-tech testing solutions.
2004
The brand started its internationalization process.
2017
Equilybra S.p.A. and Route Capital Partners S.r.l. invested in Leonardo S.r.l.
In the same year, the Test Industry group was founded and Bimal and Leonardo joined it.
2018
To strengthen the Group’s presence in North America, the commercial branch of Test Industry America Inc. was established, with headquarters in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin.
2019
Together with financial and industrial partners, the IGI Investimenti Sei fund managed by Private Equity acquired the management of Test Industry.
2020
Bimal and Leonardo merged into Test Industry S.r.l., starting an important transformation and integration process. The main objective is to achieve targeted industrial and commercial synergies.
2022
Test Industry acquired the German companies TS TestingService GmbH and TS GiM GmbH, which merged in 2023 to form Test Industry Germany GmbH, generating new impetus for the Group’s international growth.
