TIRE TREAD WEAR SIMULATION TEST BENCH

The machine, available for both PC-Lt or TB tires, has been developed for simulating indoor generation of tyre and road wear particles (TRWP) according to the international test standard ISO/TS 22638 TP-VTQG-W-01.

The particles significantly contribute to the environment pollution, so there is a big interest today in studying the composition and effects of TRWP on the atmosphere. Using the machine in simulator laboratory allow to evaluate the abrasion of tire under realistic driving/braking conditions without the inference of road surface contaminants.

The machine can speed the tire up to 180 km/h, with automatic adjustment of slip and camber angles and includes a system for talc dosing and suction.
