The history of Bimal
1984
Bimal S.r.l. was set up in Perugia, originally operating in the distribution of components and the design of hydraulic systems. Within a few years, the company was specializing in the design of test benches.
1985
An important Umbrian company in the aerospace industry commissioned the first test bench from Bimal.
1992
Test benches became the company’s core business.
2000
The brand also began to make itself known internationally, obtaining the first orders from China and the United States.
2001
The company expanded and organized a department dedicated to automation in order to offer turnkey products.
2015
The Equilybra S.p.A. fund invested in Bimal S.r.l.
2017
Bimal joined the newborn Test Industry group together with Leonardo S.r.l.
2018
To strengthen the Group’s presence in North America, the sales branch Test Industry America Inc. was established, with headquarters in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin.
2019
Together with financial and industrial partners, the IGI Investimenti Sei fund managed by Private Equity acquired the management of Test Industry.
2020
Bimal and Leonardo merged into Test Industry S.r.l., starting an important transformation and integration process. The main objective is to achieve targeted industrial and commercial synergies.
2022
Test Industry acquired the German companies TS TestingService GmbH and TS GiM GmbH, which merged in 2023 to form Test Industry Germany GmbH, generating new impetus for the Group’s international growth.
